This is the first open call for contributed papers and posters to
Particles 2008 - Particle Synthesis, Characterization, and Particle-
Based Advanced Materials, being held 10-13 May 2008 in Orlando,
Florida. These topics repeat the general program coverage addressed in
Particles 2001 and Particles 2004, with emphasis o­n significant
advances in materials, devices, and syntheses. Details may be found o­n

Contributed papers are solicited in the areas of advanced synthesis, characterization, encapsulation, arrays and photonics, devices, surface modification, diagnostics, drug delivery, hollow particles, toxicology and environmental impact, and other technology areas articulated on the conference website. Abstracts will be continually reviewed on an on-going basis until the program is full. With 200 confirmed invited papers from leading international scientists and engineers, room exists for approximately 150 contirbuted oral papers and up to 150 or so poster papers.
