Posted by crash on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 - 08:24 AM THIES TECHNOLOGY, INC. January 24, 2008 MICROENCAPSULATION SPECIALISTS921 AMERICAN PACIFIC DR., SUITE 309 HENDERSON, NV 89014 (702) 567 8206 Greetings, Discover the powerful applications encapsulation technologies can offer you or your business, and learn the science behind the technique via hands-on-training from a world-renown expert. This letter provides you a schedule and other details concerning our 2008 series of Microencapsulation Short Courses. The instructor, Dr. Curt Thies, has 43 years of microencapsulation experience and is a Emeritus Professor of Chemical Engineering, Washington University, St. Louis, where he taught for nearly 30 years and was voted by students as Engineering Professor of the Year four times. He has been teaching his unique microcapsule short courses for 26 years globally. I call your attention to three informative short courses to be held soon at Thies Technology in Henderson, NV:
The How-to-Make Microcapsulescourse will be held April 23-25, and November 12-14, 2008. Dr. Thies has taught this three day course annually since 1981. I believe it is the longest running lab/lecture course in the world devoted exclusively to the hands-on teaching of students about the synthesis of microcapsules by a variety of different techniques. It continues to evolve in order to keep pace with the steadily changing microcapsule technology scene. The Microcapsules Tutorial/Updatecourse is scheduled for February 21-22, 2008. This two day lecture course focuses on changes in microcapsule formation processes and applications. It includes a discussion of new participants in the field and what is happening from a commercial point of view. Dr. Thies has put much effort into staying abreast of the current literature and the course notes reflect this. It contains many analyses of current references that I believe are most informative. Due to the major increase in interest in nanotechnology over the past 5-10 years, Dr. Thies recently added a course entitled “How-to-Make Nanocapsules”. This three day lab/lecture course is focused exclusively on the preparation of nanocapsules. This course will be held March 5-7, 2008. If you or your business is interested in microcapsules or microencapsulation technology, these courses are a most valuable training experience. In addition to 30 years of experience as a university professor, Dr. Thies spent 8 years at NCR as head of basic encapsulation research. This experience combination gives him a broad microcapsule experience base that he shares with his students. If you are interested in any of the above courses, contact me at 702-567-8206 or e-mail me at thiestech@yahoo.com. More detailed course information can be found at our website: Liming S.
