International Symposium on Instrumentalized Analytical Chemistry and Computer Technology

InCom 2005, 29. bis 31. März 2005, Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf

The InCom – International Symposium o­n Instrumentalized Analytical Chemistry and Computer Technology – will take place from 29th to 31st March 2005 at its traditional venue, the Heinrich-Heine University of Duesseldorf. In recent years, the Incom has become the worldwide largest symposium for instrumental analysis. An important reason for this success can be found in the exceptional opportunities for presentations.

Exhibitors can, for example,
- Hold lectures
- Give practical courses (at their stands, 10-15 minutes), which are listed in the program
- Hold company seminars, to which they invite their own customers. Company seminars can be held as full- or half-day courses in specially reserved lecture theaters
- Offer certification courses. Here the companies invite their customers to attend courses in reserved lecture theaters and/or laboratories, issue certificates of attendance, and collect the course fees directly from the participants. These courses qualify as further education in the sense of ISO 9000 ff.
- Display posters

As an exhibiting company, you have the opportunity – in North-Rhein- Westphalia, the industrially strongest state in Germany – to establish and strengthen contacts to customers and suppliers. We will be sending out 60.000 programs and expect about 20.000 participants and visitors. The InCom is unique in offering such opportunities for companies to present themselves and their products.

Through the new partnership with the magazine CLB – Chemie in Labor and Biotechnik (Chemistry in the Laboratory and in Biotechnology) – the InCom will be further strengthened. Since 55 years appearing monthly, the CLB addresses chemists in academia and industry with clear and comprehensible overview articles on topics in chemistry, analysis and biotechnology; current news and feature columns. It focusses strongly on further education and has the largest subscriber base in Germany in its category. The CLB will publish the complete InCom program, thus bringing it to the attention of an additional new and wider audience.

Lectures of leading scientists and engineers will give an overview, show at which level matters stand and discuss what the future could bring. Listeners of the audience can refresh and increase their knowledge. The main aim in all lectures is also the practical side.

Parallel to the InCom companies will show their products, hold lectures which go further into detail, present new methods and techniques and demonstrate instruments as they work in practice.

Practice courses 

Practice courses will be held to demonstrate news at the presentation-sites of the companies. Presentations will be short and effective.

Selected companies show their program for Instrumental Analytics, have sales-talks and practical courses. They introduce their co-workers and meet interested customers.

The reasons to carry out the InCom in Düsseldorf, the centre of NRW, were a result of the prehistory: 

1. The InCom is an exhibition at the Heinrich-Heine-University of Düsseldorf known world-wide and therefor Düsseldorf is the perfect place to carry out the InCom here as well. 

2. NRW (Nordrhein-Westfalen) is with its 18 million inhabitants not only the state with the most inhabitants in Germany but also the most dense populated region in Europe. 

3. NRW is situated in the centre of Europe and can be reached without any problems. 

4. Foreign investments have the highest priority in NRW. 

5. NRW has one of the most efficient communication-networks. 

6. Quality of life and culture reach a high level in NRW.

   40 million people can reach the Heinrich-Heine-University of Düsseldorf by car or by train within a day and even more Düsseldorf can be  reached by plane within two hours from anywhere in Europe.
