Collaborative Research Opportunities with Multinational Company
2nd Call for the Following Alerts: On behalf of one of the world’s largest multinationals, the Institute of Nanotechnology is seeking partners for mutually beneficial collaborative projects. Our client, a household products multinational, is interested in: 1. Surfaces and Sealers High Energy Surfaces Hydrophilising surfaces to achieve good wetting (low contact angles, ideally < 20Deg) after cleaning that can be delivered simultaneously from a waterborne detergent based formulation. Low Energy Surfaces Low energy surfaces to achieve easy soil removal after cleaning that can be delivered simultaneously from a waterborne detergent based formulation. The technology must be fluorine free and should ideally repel greasy soils. Micoroscratch Sealer A technology that seals temporarily after cleaning microscopic scratches & marrs. 2. Colour & Abrasion Prevention and Hair Removal Colour and Abrasion Prevention A technology that prevents colour loss or abrasion/physical degradation of fibres/textiles/apparel during washing or drying processes. Hair Removal A technology that i) improves or speeds up hair dissolution (depilation) and/or ii) improves mechanical hair removal in consumer hair removal products such as e.g. foams, gels, creams, lotions. Consideration will also be given to technologies that show these benefits if applied via or in conjunction with a powered or non-powered device. If your organisation is: involved in micro and nanotechnology research that might be translated into applications in any of these areas and would like the opportunity to collaborate with a multinational company then please provide the relevant details below: Company/Institution Name: Contact Name: Contact telephone: Contact e-mail: Description of applicable research/technology: All responses and any questions should be addressed in the first instance to: Andy Garland andy@nano.org.uk Tel: +44 (0) 1786 447520 Fax: +44(0)1786 447530 About the IoN Founded in 1997, the Institute of Nanotechnology (IoN) was the world's first nanotechnology information provider, and is now a world leader. The IoN leads the European network of networks, Nanoforum (www.nanoforum.org) as well as working closely with governments, universities, researchers and companies worldwide on micro and nanotechnology. A membership organisation, current members include Unilever, Degussa, Lot Oriel, Sulzer, Veeco, QinetiQ, INSTM, Toshiba, Merck and ICI. For more information visit our website at www.nano.org.uk.
