Nanoparticles are finding application in many industrial contexts as diverse as pharmaceuticals, fuels, cosmetics and paints. There are almost as many methods of manufacturing nanoparticles as there are applications, but characterization, stabilization and scale-up still remain critical problems for many producers and users.

Come to this event and hear about innovations in manufacturing techniques for nanoparticles and nanotubes, new applications, and the latest views on other issues of critical importance to industry. The conference will include expert-led workshops on toxicology and characterization, plus presentations on current thinking on regulation.

Presentations include:

'Nanoparticles and the Skin: Is There a Health Risk?'
Gerhard J. Nohynek, L'Oréal Research and Development

'New Techniques in Nanoparticle Production and Characterization'
Bernhard Schleich, Director, Degussa, European Research Policy
