International Microencapsulation Society FAQs (frequently-asked questions)
Category: Main -> General QuestionAnswerHow to do I register?Registration is easy: When look at the page you can see in the middle and top, right beside the IMS logo a "Create account" link. Also down on the left side a link named "Sign up" and on the right side all the way down a link with "register" can be found. All those links lead to the registration page.

What happens with my registration data?Actually - nothing. It is only used for the IMS. We do not sell or trade the adresses or data. It is even not possible to view the data if you do not whish to do this. Also, your personal email address will not be displayed on any page, unless you state explicitly so. It is only possible to contact you over the webpage form, which avoids SPAM, SPIT and SPIM to your address. Back to top
What kind of data should be entered when registering? The more, the better. At last your real name should be entered. It is a sign of respect that you allow other people to know who they are talking to.
If you are already registered, you can use anytime the link "Settings" to change your data.
Generally submissions without real name will be deleted. Back to top
I submitted news/a job offer/an event/a question with the "Submit News" link but I cannot find it on the page. The news you are submitting is reviewed by the administration team. They review all submissions for typography, correct links and of course compatibility to legal issues. Submissions that are not filed without a real name are not accepted anytime. If the submissions is not clearly understandable, the administration stuff will contact you with their questions. Back to top
What means "Rate" under each News/Entry?To give the best service, all registered members are invited to rate all entries (News, Jobs, Events, FAQ, Links, Downloads etc.) so that we can enhance the page further. Back to top
I registered but I did not received a password. What is wrong? Many times people do not take sufficiently care when entering their email address. The result is, that the confirmation email with the password is bounced.
Whenever you register you should take care of typing in your email address correctly, so you can receive your password.
In the case, that you accidentially mistyped your email address, or, what can happen with some of the providers as AOL or GMAIL, your mail get bounced anyways, your are not able to reregister with the same email address. Either you have to use a secondary (backup) one, or you should contact the webmaster of these pages at webmaster@microencapsulation.de who can reset your password and logins. Back to top

I would like to list an upcoming conference on microemcapsulation on your Events page. What do I need to do?This is very simple: If you have already an account on this page, you only have to log in, select "Submit News" and enter your event information. There are two text fields, one is the "teaser", that should not exeed a few lines. The second text field is then all information about the event that seems fit.
Both areas can constitute of a HTML text. A visual editor is available to edit the text (A question "Use Visual Editor?" pops up after you click the field with the mouse - answer yes for this field or no for no field on this page).
After finishing edition, please select "Preview" for inspection the page. If the contents is okay, please selct "OK" (only available after the first preview) or edit, and preview again.
The News will be subject to review, which is usually done within 1-2 days. Only news releated to microencapsulation, information etc. are accepted. Marketing, Adverising or other, obivously not related stuff (pills, travel, money making etc.) will in no case be tolerated.
The same is valid for other fields (weblinks, downloads etc.) which allow every registered member to enter new information, links, downloads etc. Please use appropriate categories, otherwise you are able to submit everthing related to the subject of this page. Back to top
