| Dear colleague, I am writing to invite you to join us for the 13th International Workshop on Bioencapsulation. The BRG presently enjoys a membership of well over 1000 researchers and industries, and is the only research network which brings this particular community together through annual workshops, regional meetings, industrial technology fairs, e-forum, and newsletters. The BRG also promotes research networks and collaborations (such as COST 865, ESA topical team). one of our goals at the Kingston meeting is to provide a short course on bioencapsulation technologies as part of the important scientific workshop program (we expect 150 participants and more than 80 contributions). We are planning a terrific social program, which is designed to show off Canadian/USA natural beauty with a dinner/show cruise through the world famous Thousand Island area of the St. Lawrence river which straddles the US/Canadian border. Amongst the things that keep me coming back each year to the BRG annual workshop are the friendships, and collaborative opportunities that present themselves through this excellent networking opportunity. We continue to strive to renew and extend our membership, as an indispensable tool to be a real promoting tool for the collaboration on international scale. We want to encourage a large participation in our activities from young scientists, graduate students and researchers from less advantaged countries. This is why we maintain low registration fees and invite sponsorship funding. Your participation and contribution is then very valuable for us and we hope it will be an opportunity for you to establish collaborations and further develop your research and industrial activities. For information about the workshop and registration, log on to: http://bioencapsulation.net/XIII_IWB [10] If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 1-613-533-2785 or neufeld@chee.queensu.ca [11].
